Dr Paul added that CHS will support the County to integrate HIV services in order to achieve efficiencies in service delivery.
Siaya County CEC of Health, Dr Martin Konyango thanked CDC through CHS for supporting the county to achieve impressive results in HIV and TB programs.
“The county is ready to play its role in ensuring that transition is smooth and services are not interrupted,” Dr Martin committed.
His remarks were echoed by the County Assembly Speaker, Mr George Okode who also thanked CDC through CHS for enabling the county to achieve impressive results in most of the HIV indicators.
Speaker George added, “Transition requires legislation framework, budgeting approval, political goodwill, and advocacy, The county assembly is committed to providing the necessary legislative support for the transition. We will ensure that the gains towards epidemic control are maintained through a smooth transition.”
CDC Western Region Activity Manager, Dr Nyabiage Lennah urged the County to maintain the excellent work that has been achieved through donor funding without losing the gains.
